Meet Lindsy Hyer
Founder of Next Gen Myofuntional Therapy
Lindsy Hyer has been a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist in New York since 2009. Her journey into orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT) began as a personal one while searching for solutions to her own struggles with orthodontic relapse, tooth and back pain, TMD symptoms, and chronic discomfort. In that search, she discovered the life-changing potential of myofunctional therapy.
As she learned more, she began to recognize signs of myofunctional disorders in her own son and in many people around her. This realization led her to pursue advanced training through the Academy of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (AOMT) to better understand how to help both herself and others.
Lindsy founded Next Gen Myofunctional Therapy with a mission to empower families, especially the next generation, with knowledge and tools that support healthy breathing, chewing, and swallowing. Her goal is to provide education and preventive care so that children grow up with healthy orofacial function and a strong foundation for lifelong wellness. As Lindsy often says, “You wouldn’t drink a milkshake through your nose, so why breathe through your mouth?”
She works collaboratively with a trusted team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, osteopaths, airway-focused dentists, orthodontists, ENTs, chiropractors, and allergists to ensure individualized, whole-body care.
If you're ready to improve your health at its foundation, schedule your evaluation today and begin restoring your natural function for better breathing, sleeping, and overall well-being.
